Climate protection and the sustainable use of our environment is our central idea at Wisefood. We take our CO2 emissions into account in every decision we make and prioritize environmental protection. This is also the case with our recently launched website.

Streaming films, series or music alone consumes an incredible amount of electricity. Most people don't even know that websites can also have a negative impact on the environment. Power is needed to create the website and storing the website on a server in particular requires a lot of power. It is often unclear to the end consumer where this electricity comes from. That's why we decided to make our website carbon neutral. You are now surfing climate-neutral on the Wisefood website .
First some information about ClimatePartner: ClimatePartner is a leading solution provider in climate protection for companies. ClimatePartner supports over 1,000 companies in calculating and reducing CO2 emissions and enables unavoidable emissions to be offset through a wide range of climate protection projects. ClimatePartner is regarded as the inventor of the process for climate-neutral printed products and was involved in the creation of ISO 16759 for the CO 2 balance sheet of printed products. ClimatePartner guarantees transparency through a clear labeling system in connection with a TÜV Austria-certified IT solution.
A website is carbon neutral when the resulting CO2 emissions have been calculated and offset. In addition to avoidance and reduction, the compensation of CO2 emissions is another important step in holistic climate protection, which is very important to us. We guarantee this balance on our website through the climate protection projects of ClimatePartner.
Climate protection projects demonstrably save greenhouse gases and make an important contribution to combating global warming. In addition, they promote sustainable development in the project countries, for example by improving the supply of clean drinking water, expanding local infrastructure, creating jobs or protecting biodiversity. As we explained earlier, our sustainability mission is based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement. ClimatePartner is also based on these Sustainable Development Goals. These 17 goals include fighting poverty and hunger, promoting education and spreading clean and affordable energy around the world. Each climate protection project from the ClimatePartner portfolio contributes to several of these goals. In order to make this effect visible, ClimatePartner shows the contribution of individual projects to the various SDGs for each project. This allows you to understand which other goals the projects support in addition to climate protection. In some projects, the additional contribution is so large that it is actually a development project with a climate protection effect – and not the other way around.
