We supply retail and wholesale in Germany and internationally. We are grateful that we were able to supply many great customers such as GORILLAS, ALDI, REWE, EDEKA, TRANSGOURMET, METRO, MIGROS and many more. We have put millions of products on the market, replacing numerous plastic products with better alternatives. What began as a student project has quickly developed into one of the fastest growing food tech companies in Germany.
Wisefood is known from numerous television programs - including Galileo, Die Höhle der Löwen or the ARD Mittagsmagazin. We have been promoted and awarded numerous prizes such as "Germany Land of Ideas", TRANSGOURMET Newcomer Award , Top 50 Cleantech Startups worldwide and METRO NX FOOD. We were also able to win the EIT Food Award , funded with 60,000 euros in prize money from the EU, and thus successfully assert ourselves over hundreds of other companies. The German Accelerator has also supported us in our international expansion - a funding program for young German companies established by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.
We became known with edible drinking straws and spoons. We give apple fibers, a by-product of apple juice production, a second life and thus protect resources and the environment.
- Our mission originally began as a student project, since 2017 Wisefood GmbH has been based in Garching near Munich.
- We are currently exporting to more than 20 countries worldwide, but are still networking and expanding.
- Since establishment we could more than 100 million plastic straws that would otherwise have polluted our oceans.
- From zero to profitable seven-digit sales in just three years since it was founded and a stable and strong partner for retail.
- More than 1000 products in the range and storage capacities of more than ten thousand pallet spaces above our warehouse in Germany.
